@pawel meter doesn't move at all, and sound output sounds like it's stereo, but the lamp doesn't light.

Hi guys! I just wanted to share a technique that could save some original potentiometers.

A common issue with Tandberg pots is that the glider that runs on the carbon track snaps, as it is under constant tension.

I have found that you can in fact solder this glider back together and it actually holds up. I have now done this on two of my own, and recently even did the smaller volume pot on the TR 2055 for a dutch member of the facebook group. He reported back yesterday, stating it worked perfectly!

I figured I'd share this, since it may allow some of you to keep the original part.

Stereo - does it (stereo) work or not at all ?

Signal meter - when you 'ping it' delicately by the finger or the screw driver, is the pointer normally moving by a few mm or it stays in one place ?

Hi - my TR-1000 seems to work great, except the stereo indicator lamp for FM reception never lights (I replaced the burnt out bulb) and also there is no meter indication on tuning/signal strength. Any suggestions on what to look for or where to start diagnosis?

Hello, yep it's the brand new, audio toroidal transformer sitting ( and working ! ) at the TR2055.

Hello

I had a problem with the noisy transformer at TR2055. After 1h playing it started 'buzz' like a hell, so the new audio toroidal transformer ( it has the traditional one ) has been designed. It looks and works perfect now. If you have the same problem let me know.

Just bought TL 5020 speakers. I would like to prepare floor stands for them, about 15-20 cm high. I'm not sure that I want to make metal frames like originals. What other stands have you used? Can you send some pictures?
