@moke Thanks. It sure has a lot of features. The Huldra 8 with speakers cost more than an average monthly gross household income in 1967. I’m guessing that Tandberg’s policy was that if you invested in a Huldra, you should need no other device. You can therefore listen to a record in one room and listen to the radio in another room. Or listen to the radio while recording a record on the tape player. Or use the intercom as a baby call. It’s one of my absolute favorite Tandberg receivers.

Mr Tom, what a great job, makes more sense now and some features i wasn't aware off. I now have it playing at my office at the museum where i work replacing a newer Tandberg receiver i had there that needs some TLC.

The translation has paused at the moment, so difficult and a very wordy service manual.
For you English speaking Huldra 8 owners, how about if we translate the owners manual?
The speaker selector system is complicated, I hardly understand it myself although I own a Huldra 8. I just use the App speaker outputs and leave it at that.

just wanted to thank jvanselm and Jens for their help with the Huldra 8, i really enjoy listening to it radio mostly, i bought it off FINN but not directly because i am not a resident of Norway, the seller was was very helpful and shipped it including the matching speakers. i sometimes use HI FI Shark to check on Tandberg, it has usually a decent selection

Is anyone who speaks 'scandinavian' keen to help translating the Huldra 8 service manual into english?
I have started, but it is a lot.. This is probably the most wordy Tandberg manual. It is interesting though, because they describe the circuits in detail.

Clive, it is for you and your Huldra 8. What was your name here in the forum?

Maybe some nice volunteer could help me with a page or two?
There is a machine translation already, but it is messy, so we don't have to do it from scratch but we must go in read, think what it really means and correct it.
